Lindzey

Hi! I’m Lindzey. My journey in Cosmetology actually starts with me being in the chair. I started out as a client at the age of 13 and have been here ever since. I have always enjoyed the creative freedom of hair color. After many years of being a client I became part of this amazing team as the receptionist. During an education trip to Orlando I had my whole world blown up by the absolutely inspiring knowledge I was able to receive during that trip. By the time I got home from the trip I was researching cosmetology programs to start my career as a stylist.

As I have worked with the Jakob Dozen team, learning from them and seeing their relationships with clients , I knew this is exactly where I was meant to be. Being able to give a client the result and salon experience they deserve is what drives me to extend my education, and always finding something new to learn. One of the most inspirational quotes I have heard since starting my career was actually from a person I was in a color class with. “When you’re green you grow, when you’re ripe you rot”. This has always stuck with me and has inspired me to never stop learning. There is always something new to learn. I know what it feels like to leave the salon with a fresh color, haircut, or a beautiful blow out and that empowering and uplifting feeling is what I want to give back to clients no matter the service.

Outside of the salon I am a dog mom of two. I am an art collector and have an affinity for vintage jewelry. Music of all kinds has been a massive staple in my life ever since I was a child. I am deeply involved in my community in Mobile, AL. I love to travel and plan to continue to find inspiration everywhere I go.
